Sarah Birdwell

Sarah Birdwell is a versatile professional with over 19 years of experience in design, education, and advocacy. A graduate of California College of the Arts with a BFA in Graphic Design, she has excelled as a Designer and Marketing Director for top-tier agencies and shared her expertise as a design instructor at the Academy of Art University for more than 15 years. As Marketing Director at Tobi USA, Sarah develops innovative strategies that drive significant revenue growth for a seven-figure enterprise. 

A passionate advocate for women’s and disability rights, Sarah served as Board President of Independent Living Resources and Chair of the In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee. She currently is a committee member for the Paratransit Coordinating Council and Central Contra Costa Transit Authority. As a Travel Trainer, she empowers seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized transit training, helping them gain independence and mobility while promoting equitable and accessible transportation solutions.
